Interoperability Branch

The mission of the Interoperability Branch is to assist the customers in optimizing the interoperability of their Medical Support components, i.e. to facilitate the ability of medical units to train, exercise and operate effectively together while executing assigned missions and tasks.

The branch’s principal focus is the augmentation of the NATO medical community in achieving standards and harmony in personnel, administration and operation at the today’s combined joint type medical missions. This activity contains the support of The Committee of the Chiefs of Military Medical Services in NATO (COMEDS) Working Groups/Expert Panels in initiating, developing and reviewing NATO medical concepts/policies including the facilitation of incorporation of Clinical Lessons Learned into NATO medical doctrines.
