Meeting for the Analysis of Medical Command/Control and Command Authority, 13-14 September 2016, Utrecht
The NATO Centre of Excellence for Military Medicine (MILMED COE) in close cooperation with NATO Centre of Excellence for Command and Control (C2COE) and COMEDS Military Medical Structures, Operations and Procedures Working Group (MMSOP WG) will organize a Subject Matter Expert (SME) Meeting to analyse issues concerning Medical Command and Control and Medical Command Authority during NATO missions.

The aim of the meeting is to analyse and provide solutions for critical issues concerning Medical Command and Control and NATO Command Authority relationships, in preparation for further development of the envisaged COMEDS task to the MMSOP WG.
Potential topics include but are not limited to:
Medical C2 requirements (e.g. module, unit or Task Force level)
NATO C2 medical functions tasking authority (e.g. MEDAD´s tasking authority to Reporting or for MEDEVAC assets)
To ensure that this workshop will cover items that are priority areas for your National and NATO Headquarters, we kindly ask for your suggestions concerning areas for clarification and improvement of current medical C2 doctrine, policies, and procedures. We also ask for experiences during the last missions, where the existing doctrine was not sufficient.
In order to stimulate input, Annex A includes the output generated by the Medical Command and Control Syndicate during the Future Medical Support Workshop conducted on 3-5 November 2015. Please provide your proposals and comments to the POC SME listed below NLT 12 August 2016.
