MILMED COE briefing at Conference of National Armaments Directors

The Conference of National Armaments Directors (CNAD) took place on 30 January 2017 in Brussels, where top national defence procurement officials from NATO and partner countries met to discuss and promote interoperability in the armaments field. The CNAD is the senior NATO committee with the mission to enable multinational cooperation on delivery of interoperable military capabilities to improve NATO forces’ effectiveness and to promote transatlantic defence industrial cooperation. The CNAD reports directly to the North Atlantic Council. At the conference the participants were briefed by, among others, the Director of the NATO Centre of Excellence for Military Medicine (MILMED COE), Colonel Dr. László Fazekas (HUN) and they exchanged points of view and discussed the opportunities for closer collaboration with the NATO Centres of Excellence (COEs). The CNAD was chaired by Mr. Ernest J. Herold, NATO Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Defence Investment.

Beside the conference Colonel Fazekas had the opportunity to talk with the Supreme Allied Commander Transformation's Representative in Europe (SACTREPEUR), Vice Admiral Ignacio J. Horcada Rubio (ESP) and also with the Liaison Officer of the Committee of the Chiefs of Military Medical Services in NATO (COMEDS), Colonel Gerald Rots (NLD).
