On 8 June the „Vigorous Warrior 2011” multinational military medical display – organised in Várpalota, Hungary – ended with a VIP Green day – a demonstration for the participants of the 35th COMEDS (The Committee of the Chiefs of Military Medical Services in NATO) plenary held in Budapest on 6-10 June.

The Hungarian Deputy State Secretary for Defence Policy and Planning, Péter Siklósi, visited MILMED COE on 18 May. He has been accompanied by Tas Kelemen, Head of Defence Policy Department and Attila Demkó, Head of Defence Planning Department at the Ministry of Defence. The director, Col. Dr. István Kopcsó, together with the legal advisor and branch chiefs of MILMED COE gave a briefing on the structure, functioning and current issues and projects of the Centre.

On 5th May 2011, a group of students from the American Industrial College of the Armed Forces (ICAF) visited – already as a tradition after their trip last year – MILMED COE. The aim of the visit – organised in cooperation with the Embassy of the United States in Budapest – was to provide the students with a briefing on the basic principles and objectives of Centres of Excellence working for NATO, with particular stress on MILMED COE.
