As a result of your efforts hundreds of multinational medical service members got trained in our courses, thousands of others had access to the common military medical knowledge and the COE really became the military medical knowledge hub of the community." - said COL Dr. László Fazekas, Director of the NATO Centre of Excellence for Military Medicine (MILMED COE) expressing gratitude to the Centre's staff members in his opening speech on the Season Closing Ceremony, held at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences on 15 December 2016.
COE briefing to Ambassadors
The NATO Centre of Excellence for Military Medicine (MILMED COE) welcomed the Ambassadors of three countries, H.E. Juraj Chmiel, Ambassador of the Czech Republic; H.E. Jerzy Snopek, Ambassador of Poland and H.E. Rastislav KÁCER, Ambassador of Slovakia for a last meeting of the year to COE on 16 December 2016.
SWE Surgeon General at COE
Col. Claes Ivgren, Chief of Military Medical Services of the Swedish Armed Forces, accompanied by LtCol. Ulf Jedborg, Head of Training, Education and Evaluation in Defence Medicine and LtCol. Gunnar Hafvenstein, Chief of Staff of Military Medical Services paid an official visit to MILMED COE on 13-14 December 2016 in Budapest.
Vigorous Warrior 2017 info
Vigorous Warrior ’17 (VW ’17) is a NATO Medical Exercise and the fourth iteration since 2011. It is organized bi-annually by MILMED COE together with a Host Nation, this time Germany. The exercise is open for NATO and Partner Nations.
VW ’17 will take place on 04-22 September at the Lehnin training area in North Germany.
The Main Planning Conference (MPC) of the exercise will be held on 13-17 February 2017 in Budapest.
