DHSC: Connection Established

On 30 June the regular weekly staff meeting of the NATO Centre of Excellence for Military Medicine (MILMED COE) was held in a different way. The Deployment Health Surveillance Capability (DHSC) – located in Munich – took part in the meeting as well thanks to Video Telephone Conference capabilities (VTC); the line is now operational.

Vigorous Warrior 2011



On 8 June the „Vigorous Warrior 2011” multinational military medical display – organised in Várpalota, Hungary – ended with a VIP Green day – a demonstration for the participants of the 35th COMEDS (The Committee of the Chiefs of Military Medical Services in NATO) plenary held in Budapest on 6-10 June.


Visit of the Hungarian Deputy State Secretary for Defence Policy and Planning





The Hungarian Deputy State Secretary for Defence Policy and Planning, Péter Siklósi, visited MILMED COE on 18 May. He has been accompanied by Tas Kelemen, Head of Defence Policy Department and Attila Demkó, Head of Defence Planning Department at the Ministry of Defence. The director, Col. Dr. István Kopcsó, together with the legal advisor and branch chiefs of MILMED COE gave a briefing on the structure, functioning and current issues and projects of the Centre.
