AIM | To provide knowledge and exercise skills required to effectively work in a Patient Evacuation Coordination Cell (PECC) and to enable participants to achieve situational awareness in a multinational operational environment. |
TRAINING AUDIENCE | All personnel required to have knowledge of (NATO) PECC tasks and function in a national/multinational operational environment including all personnel planned to be deployed as a member of a PECC or medical staff in a NATO/EU/UN or other mission (i.e. ISAF/KFOR/NRF/EUBG etc.) Rank Level: OR5-OF5 |
LEARNING OBJECTIVES | LO 1 understand the NATO medical support system in multinational operations LO 2 understand the functions, responsibilities, and tasks of the PECC in a NATO multinational operational environment LO 3 how, where and when to collect and manage required information to achieve situational awareness to support the PECC functionality |
PREREQUISITE | Computer skills: be familiar with common presentation and MS Office software Useful: basic knowledge of MIMMS or MASCAL procedures |
METHODOLOGY | Instructor-led course with syndicate work and LIVEX |
LANGUAGE | English according to STANAG 6001 3.3.2.2 (listening/speaking/reading/writing) |
ATTENDANCE | Participants are expected to attend all course activities as the intense program does not allow for absences during the course. However late arrivals or early departures will be assessed case by case. Certificate for successful completion shall not be awarded in case absences are recorded. |
REGISTRATION | Mandatory online registration should be completed as soon as possible, but no later than 8 weeks prior to the course. The required minimum for course conduct is 16 participants, and the maximum 12 participants. |
COURSE FEE | For sponsoring nations: 310 EUR For non-sponsoring nations: 450 EUR |
CANCELLATION | Cancellation of participation is only possible with a 3-week notice prior to the start date of the course. The entire course fee is due past the afore-mentioned period. |
